"My name is Agostina Pierdomenico , I am 27 years old and study at the University of Buenos Aires. On March 29 I will be taking my last final exam, finishing my years as a student. I did several internships in laboratories, where I gained extensive knowledge. Within the Veterinary field, Public Health is what interests me most. I am excited about the possibility of becoming part of an investigation team that works to promote One Health."

As a Veterinarian I work at SENASA (Argentina Veterinary Service) in Bariloche, Rio Negro Proveince, in the area of food safety. I am currently in charge of a Trout Plant which exports to USA. I have previously worked in smokehouses for deer and wild boar meat; also, in the Paso Internacional Cardenal Samoré, in the control of imports of products of animal origin. In the picture I am in a deer hatchery in Junin de los Andes.

"In 2013, I started my studies on Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR). On August 2015 I transferred to the University of Brasilia (UNB). I am on the fifth semester, after the transfer. Before learning about Public Health and epidemiology, my great interest were pets."

"I work for the Ministry of Agriculture in Brazil and in an official Agricultural Surveillance service on the 2nd largest port in the country (Paranaguá). I oversee imports and exports of veterinary products, livestock supplies and products of animal origin. I want to specialize in the International Trade of agricultural products."

"I am a regulatory veterinarian at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  I work on domestic disease control programs within the policy and programs branch of the Animal Health Directorate of the CFIA."

"I am 19 years old and study at the University of Concepción, in the Chillán Campus; I am currently in my third semester. I am mainly interested in the wildlife of both my country and the world, especially in the area of Ornithology. I am also very interested in the area of Parasitology."

"My name is Maria José, I am 20 years old and was born in Pasto (Nariño). I study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nariño. I am currently on my seventh semester of what I consider –as of now– to be my greatest achievement. I decided to dedicate my life to the care of my country´s wildlife, with full confidence that in the end, I will say that I could not have lived a better life than the one I chose."

"My name is Gabriel Eloy Aguilar Martínez, on March 7 I will be turning 20 years old, I was born in Portoviejo but I grew up in San Cristobal – Galápagos until the age of 14. I am a third year Veterinary student at the Technical University of Manabi – Campus Lodana. I was interested in this career because I like animals and medicine. One of my goals is to return to Galápagos as a professional and to work for the ABG which is in charge of pet control and to enter into private practice, to contribute with my knowledge to the care, nutrition and proper development of pets of the Galapagos community."
